These bases are made by ourselves using a generous amount of local straw bound to a traditional wire frame tight enough to hold its shape but not too tight to make decorating the wreath overly difficult. If you know, you know!

Our straw wreath bases are popular for wreath making courses and home wreath making as it alleviates the need for you to buy and have the mess of a straw bale in the car / shop / village hall / house and the environmental damage associated with sphagnum moss. Straw wreath bases can be reused – just dismantle the wreath, compost the foliage and thoroughly dry the straw base before storing away for making your next spring, summer, autumn or Christmas wreath. We also make straw wreath bases in 10″, 14″ and 16″ sizes.
